México
tiene 2 representantes en Sochi 2014. Hubertus von Hohenlohe y Arly Velásquez tienen historias
interesantes.
Aunque a muchos sorprenda
primera vez.
También estuvimos en
Vancouver 2010, Salt Lake City 2002, Lillehammer 1994. Albertville 1992,
prejuicios.
Y cuando uno piensa así…ya ganó.

P.D. Echaremos porras.
There are 2 athletes
representing Mexico at the Winter Olympics.
Hubertus von Hohenlohe and Arly
Velásquez.
Hubertus (55) is a sixth
time olympian and has been dubbed ‘the most interesting’ athlete in Sochi. His
background, personality and sense of style make him stand out.
Arly, on the other hand,
is a 25 year old Paralympian. This will be his second winter games and
currently ranks in the top 15 monoski athletes. He embraced the sport after
breaking his back in a mountain bike accident when he was 13.
Though many of us may be
surprised to find Mexico taking part in the Winter Olympics, the truth is that
this is not the first time.
The country also took
part in Vancouver 2010, Salt Lake City 2002, Lillehammer 1994, Albertville
1992, Calgary 1988, Sarajevo 1984 and St. Moritz 1928, with participation in
skeleton, alpine skiing, figure skating, bobsleigh and cross country ski.
I like to think that
Hubertus and Arly, and all those who went before them, may inspire all of us to
overcome fear and prejudice.
Arly said it best in an
interview. “I don’t believe in limits, I believe in dreams.”
When you think like that, you already won.

P.S. Will you be
watching?
I didn't know there were 2 Mexican athletes @ the olympics. Arly's story is inspirational, will be watching for sure.
