Por ahí encontré mi primera foto con un
sombrero de charro. La tomaron cuando tenía dos años en un parque, cerca de la ciudad de México. Mi foto es en blanco y negro, y aunque no recuerdo nada del
momento el simple hecho de verla me hace sonreír, y me hace pensar que
probablemente muchos mexicanos tenemos al menos una fotografía así. Para mí es
más que un recuerdo de infancia, es un símbolo de quien soy.

I got my first
picture wearing a Mexican hat when I was about two years old. We were visiting
a park near Mexico City and there was a photographer taking pictures of small
children riding a “horse”. My picture is black and white, and even though I
remember nothing about that moment just looking at it brings a smile. I'm
starting to think that most likely many of us Mexicans have at least one such
image. More than a memory, to me this pic is a symbol of who I am.
