Estamos en un karaoke. Unos extranjeros toman
el micrófono para sorprender con Bésame Mucho. Se entusiasman y cantan con un sentimiento
contagioso. En un instante somos un coro multicultural unido por
el bolero mágico de Consuelo Velázquez.

Bésame Mucho appeared in times of World War
II, when many hearts were pushed to say goodbye due to the circumstances,
but the feelings the song evokes run deeper than time, which explains why it's considered the Song of the Century. It's fame is global as it's been
translated and recorded more than any other Mexican song.
Just a quick search on YouTube brings over
500,000 results. Andrea Bocelli, Cesária Evora, The Beatles, Michael Bublé and
countless more, both big names and unknown romantics have lent their talent to
this song. For an english/spanish version check THIS by Michael Bublé and mexican singer Thalía.
Gracias Consuelo
