| Imagina ser el primero en recibir el año - Punta Sur |
Alguien me dijo que
Punta Sur en Isla Mujeres es el primer lugar en recibir el Año Nuevo en México.
Por su geografía es
ahí dónde los primeros rayos del sol iluminan nuestro país.
Isla Mujeres me
encanta, he tenido la suerte de visitar la Isla en varias ocasiones, pero nunca
para Año Nuevo…me imagino la experiencia de ver la última puesta de sol y el primer amanecer del año.
Cierro los ojos y
quiero estar ahí.
Este post me hace
pensar en lo afortunados que somos de tener tantos lugares maravillosos para
marcar el cambio.
Playas, montañas,
ciudades coloniales. Lugares llenos de historia, magia, belleza. Paisajes y
rincones para emocionarse, alegrarse y celebrar.
Hace un par de años pasé con mi familia el último día de diciembre en una playa y más tarde contamos las doce
campanadas sobre el mar…
Para mí es un
recuerdo de un Año Nuevo inconvencional e inolvidable.
Punta Sur…nos veremos

Someone told me that
Punta Sur in Isla Mujeres is the first place to welcome the New Year in Mexico.
Because of its
location, Punta Sur receives the first rays of sunlight, just as the sun comes
up over the Mexican Caribbean.
I love Isla Mujeres,
I have visited la Isla several times, but never for New Year’s. So I can only
imagine the experience of watching the sun setting on the last day of the year
just to rise above the sea as a new year begins.
I wish I could just
close my eyes and be there.
This post makes me
think of how lucky we are to have so many awesome places to mark the changing of the year.
Beaches, mountains,
colonial cities. Places drenched in history, magic, beauty.
Amazing sites to reflect,
rejoice and celebrate.
A couple of years ago
we spent the last day of December on a beautiful beach, and later that night we
followed the countdown at sea…
It was an unconventional
New Year. Today it is a beloved memory.
Punta Sur…we’ll meet
again…soon.
